Welcome to the Engineering Information Bureau at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. EIB is one of fifteen standing committees in Engineering Council whose programs are developed and implemented entirely by current engineering students. These programs offered are designed to inform interested individuals and groups—most often prospective students and their parents.

Engineering Campus Tours:
Provided daily at 2:00 p.m. by current undergraduate engineering students, these tours showcase our engineering campus and give the prospective student and their parent(s) a chance to learn about the many opportunities our myriad of engineering departments have to offer.

Engineering Days:
Open to all interested parties, Engineering Days are intended to introduce high school students to the many engineering curriculums that we offer at the University of Illinois. Students will visit classes and research labs, talk with engineering students, and much more. Please see the program information page for registration and up-to-date information.

Engineering Advocates:
Open to all interested parties, Engineering Advocates is a dynamic engineering education outreach program for students in elementary, middle, and high school. The program consists of current engineering students at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign visiting various high schools and promoting an education in the Sciences, Technologies, Engineering and Mathematics. Also, the students showcase the Engineering at Illinois opportunities and resources available. Shadow an Engineer Program:
The Shadow Program allows visiting students to spend the day with a current engineering student at the University of Illinois and see what campus life is really like. Visiting students will sit in on lectures, see residence halls and facilities, and most importantly, get time to talk with current students about their experiences.
